Breast Clinic
The Shawsand Medical Centre has special clinics which offer comprehensive diagnostic and treatment options for patients who experience breast changes or problems. A variety of conditions are evaluated including fibrocystic breasts, breast pain, high-risk conditions, breast lumps, breast cancer and inflammatory breast cancer, lobular carcinoma in situ, breast discharge, breast infections, and abnormal mammograms. Most conditions are not cancerous, but it is important to complete a comprehensive evaluation as quickly as possible after a breast change is detected to ensure early diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
